Dr. Peter Gerhardt has more than 30 years experience utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis in support of individuals with autism spectrum disorders in educational, employment, residential and community-based settings. Dr. Gerhardt is the author or the coauthor of many articles and book chapters on the needs of adolescents and adults with ASDs and has presented nationally and internationally on this topic. Dr. Gerhardt is the founding chair of the Scientific Council for the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and currently sits on numerous professional advisory boards including Behavior Analysis in Practice, the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts, and the Autism Society of America. He received his doctorate from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Graduate School of Education.

During this time I was able to witness all the great accomplishments he made in a reasonable period of time and it was impressing!! Also the commitment and professionalism of the staff is outstanding. I’m so happy he has the chance to attend this school and I will never forget those mornings while we were waiting for the bus and he was so excited to go to EPIC.

As an educator myself, I am thoroughly impressed with the high quality of the program, the attention paid to individual student's needs, and most of all- the loving, welcoming, inclusive community that has been created through the hard work and dedication of the staff, families, and students alike. The EPIC school has made a tremendous difference in the life of my cousin, and it has been both a privilege and a joy to witness the incredible progress he has made with the help of this wonderful program.
